Some time ago I saw a plan that showed a proposed "No Entry except cycles" at Great George Street, but it hasn't happened and the rat-running traffic continues.

The dropped kerb on the right (see #46778) is blocked by van parking, and the stopped up section of road is also covered with indiscriminate parking.

No dropped kerb to join the Colleges Cycle Route at Scott Street.

The southern end of the Garscube Road cycle track still hasn't been completed, but is at least now rideable. Top surface is all that is required. Further north, the path is complete up until Sawmillfield Street, with work in progress at the ... [more]

A cycle link to Kelvinside Avenue from the road at the side of Maryhill Fire Station, and beside it, a footpath to Oban Drive. Another path leaves this to the left, just before the hill, and connects to Kelvinside Drive.

Cut-through between Kelvinside Avenue and the road at the side of Maryhill Fire Station.

The big (iron?) pipe that was below the footway, and not supported by the scaffolding, has gone. Chisholm Trail underpass site.

Bank largely gone where Chisholm Trail underpass will emerge on south side of Newmarket Road

Waterproofing of precast sections, and significant digging, in progress on south side of Chisholm Trail underpass.

Chisholm Trail river bridge, north compound. Strong site fence has gone while they work on the edge of the site - being replaced by Heras fencing. Good progress too on building up the ramp to the bridge.

I have no idea what this is supposed to do.

I have no idea how someone managed to drive into that route sign, but it needs straightening.

Fen Causeway has been resurfaced, and the awful ski-jump has gone - but the tatty shared-use path has not been fixed, of course.

Fen Causeway has been resurfaced, although there was no real need at this end - but not the tatty shared-use path, of course.

A few of the pop-up cycle stands at Trumpington Park & Ride could be taken apart with an Allen key.

Almost all the pop-up cycle parking at the Trumpington Park & Ride seems to be firmly welded in one piece.

Priorities now changed on the covid popup cycle lane in Runcorn - it wouldn't do to have proper traffic give way to mere cyclists.

Convoluted kink on the covid popup cycleway.

Give way markings have appeared on the absurdly narrow 2-way covid popup cycleway.

OK, so it is a good thing that Halton Council have allowed cyclists to use the Runcorn busway. But, why on earth construct this special speed bump for cyclists to ride though the queuing passengers rather than just simply keep to the virtua ... [more]

  • Icon 164747 North Watford area seems to have been ignored under this scheme. Leavesden Road and the surrounding areas need urgent improvements to the roads and pavements. The roads are heavily congested, cars are parked on both sides of the road, people are cycling dangerously on the pavements, this area needs a major overhaul of road/cycle network with better access for both pedestrians, cars and cyclists.
  • Icon 164743 Leavesden Road is extremely busy and cyclists cycle up and down it almost knocking down pedestrians as the pavements are so narrow. I'm surprised there hasn't been more accidents caused. The road is extremely busy so I assume that's why they cycle on the pavements. The situation is getting worse and something needs to be done re Leavesden Road and improvements made.
  • Icon 164742 Create an all weather surface for a footpath from the gate to St Davids Road round the front of the Golf Club to Down Road. At present pedestrians have to walk on mud in wet weather or on the road at a corner.
  • Icon 164741 This is a really good cycleway, but has become too bumpy in places to ride on safely. Needs the surface looking at.
  • Icon 164740 A safe cycle route along the A370 across the M5 is needed. Very dangerous now, families could cycle to Picton Park. Commuting to Weston for work made easier.
  • Icon 164721 Heavy traffic area, need more visible 20 MPH signs along this busy road as a reminder of the speed limit or the addition of speed cameras. Pavements are often full of bins forcing people onto these busy roads in order to pass.
  • Icon 164714 Add dropped kerb and widen path to shared cycle standard
  • Icon 164713 Widen this path to shared use standards to enable safe cycling to B6525 junction
  • Icon 164710 All along Christchurch Road, there are now daft pinchpoints where the space for a car is no longer wide enough without driving into the new cycle lane. Given Reading Borough Council's love of fining cars for entering bus lanes, it is inevitable that RBC will apply this to cycle lanes at some point. The cycle lane is a good idea, however not if there is no longer width in the road for the car section. Also, the seemingly random spacing and placement of the vibrant cycle image on the road does become a bit confusing to the eye. It was once a conservation area, but now it looks like a child with a pot of white paint has had a sporadic set of tantrums. Very confusing road markings, and it looks awful and out of keeping with the area. As a keen cyclist and a motorist I don't think the current execution is good at all.
  • Icon 164656 Safer and bigger cycle lanes. White lines need repainting ASAP.
  • Icon 164654 The old railway line should be used for a walking and cycleway between Buntingford, Braughing, Puckeridge and Standon and eventually to Ware
